What is Advanced Customised LASIK?
LASIK stands for "Laser-Assisted In-situ Keratomileusis".
There are 2 basic steps to this procedure:
- Creating a flap which takes around 11 seconds using a Femtosecond laser
- Laser correction of patient's refractive power which takes less than 30 seconds
The latest version of All-laser LASIK correction at Aberdeen Eye Surgery is a fully customised corneal wavefront-guided LASIK combined with corneal collagen crosslinking. This is called PerfectShape® LASIK Xtra™.
PerfectShape® LASIK Xtra™ gives you the best chance of achieving high definition vision with no night glare and halos.
Jerry Tan Eye Surgery and now Aberdeen Eye Surgery has been performing LASIK surgery since 1996 and PerfectShape® LASIK Xtra™ since 2012.
In 2005, Jerry Tan Eye Surgery took part in a LASIK surgery study organised by the Ministry of Health, LASIK Surgery: Outcomes, Volume and Resources. This was published in December 2006. The study compared the success, predictability and safety rates of LASIK in Singapore for 2005.
