About Dr Jerry Tan

Dr Jerry Tan is a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburg and Royal College of Ophthalmologist, UK. He was trained in corneal and external eye disease by Prof. Richard Abbott from the University of California, San Francisco. He also has extensive expertise in cataract surgery, corneal transplantation, corneal collagen crosslinking, all forms of laser treatment to the cornea, phakic intraocular lens implants and comprehensive ophthalmology.

He is a very experienced LASIK surgeon in Singapore, being the first to perform this surgery in 1996. He was also the first to perform myopic, hyperopic, Topography-guided, Wavefront-guided, Wavefront enhanced LASIK and LASIK Xtra™ in Singapore. To date, he has performed more than 13,000 LASIK surgeries. He has published many articles in international books and journals on LASIK.
